About
Lorraine's Administrative Services was founded by Lorraine Y. Bogan of Chicago, Illinois.
In 1992, Lorraine started the SAFE (Sports Affecting Future Education) Program that was incorporated in 1995. Lorraine wanted to do something about the many young people who are dying prematurely through gang, community, and domestic violence, and/or dropping out of school. Having had three cousins killed, two by firearms and one by a drunk driver, Lorraine took sports, as part of a lure, to get youth off the streets and began working with them through mentoring and tutoring using faith-based principles. Lorraine is determined to make a difference in the lives of the young people who are "written off" by society.
Since then, Lorraine has worked with hundreds of youth. Securing grants from the Department of Human Services' and the Mayor's Office of Workforce Development, Lorraine was able to operate a youth job training and after-school program that served a total of 175 young people.
However, shortly after these programs were funded, the SAFE Program was asked to leave its location. The church holding the SAFE Program was no longer large enough to accommodate all the youth. The program funding had to be returned, and the SAFE Program ceased on August 24, 2001.
In an effort to revive the SAFE program, Lorraine has created several business ventures, including Lorraine's Administrative Services, a virtual and small business assistance firm. She hopes these ventures will produce enough funds to reopen the SAFE program under its new name, The Over-Comers/Safe Haven Ministries, and to hire young people so they may have an alternative to selling illegal drugs on street corners.
Through her non-profit experience, Lorraine has served in many administrative capacities, from office manager to executive director. She understands the rigors of business and is committed to helping your business succeed.
